About the Team:CDP’s Sales function is responsible for generating sales of CDP products to new customers, as well as renewing existing customers and identifying greenfield opportunities. The Sales function is market and customer oriented and establishes go-to market strategies that serve key personas across financial corporates, non-financial corporates, and distributors and channels. The Sales function works closely with internal teams such as Marketing &amp; Communications and Customer Success to deliver a smooth customer experience. The Data and Channels Sales Team are responsible for business development and sales of environmental data across channels including financial institutions, third party distributors, consultants, software &amp; service providers and data houses. About this role:This role drives business development and generates new opportunities with strategic and high priority new clients. This role will particularly focus on data sales to financial institutions and financial market infrastructure. <ul><li>Sales Strategy Execution: Implement and execute sales strategies to achieve business development goals. This includes developing sales plans, setting targets, and monitoring performance against objectives. </li></ul><ul><li>Take Ownership of Leading Sales Opportunities, Client Relationship Engagement and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. This involves understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. </li></ul><ul><li>Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals and presentations to potential customers. This includes developing customized solutions that align with client needs and CDP’s value proposition. Optimism and a self-starter attitude will enhance your effectiveness. </li></ul><ul><li>Sales negotiations: This includes licence and contract negotiations, understanding core use cases of CDP data. </li></ul><ul><li>Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback. Use this information to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Pipeline and Forecasting Discipline: Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting. Ensure that Dynamics 365 (D365) is kept up to date with accurate and timely input to support data driven decision-making. A proactive and optimistic approach is essential. </li></ul><ul><li>Performance Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, including sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics. Provide regular updates to senior management. </li></ul><ul><li>Event Participation: Represent CDP at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. This includes promoting CDP’s services and building relationships with potential customers. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide Mentoring and Guidance to junior members of the team on strategy development and execution.</li></ul><ul><li>Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve business development processes and strategies. This includes staying updated on best practices and industry developments. </li></ul>We're looking for:<ul><li>Experience: Demonstrable experience, at least 3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the sustainability sector. </li></ul><ul><li>Track Record: Proven track record in business development, achieving sales targets and driving business growth. </li></ul><ul><li>Client Engagement: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders with comfort engaging leadership positions. Familiarity with financial institutions including asset managers, insurance and banks is a plus. </li></ul><ul><li>Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. </li></ul><ul><li>Education: Relevant degree qualifications, minimum undergraduate degree in related fields or equivalent experience. </li></ul><ul><li>Language Proficiency: Fluent in one or more local languages.</li></ul>Before you apply :We’ll only use the information you provide to process your application.
