The team is dedicated to delivering the highest value for its customers, partners, financial supporters and the communities in which it works, while exhibiting a strong commitment to promoting environmental stewardship and corporate responsibility. Pattern Energy Group operates in the United States, Canada, Japan, Chile, and Mexico with offices in San Francisco, Houston, San Diego, New York, Santiago, Tokyo, and Toronto.  Pattern Energy Group’s corporate headquarters is in San Francisco. <h2>Responsibilities</h2>JOB PURPOSEThis position is responsible for financial analysis, due diligence support and modeling.  Work duties include research, data analysis, valuation and risk assessment across a broad range of energy finance and M&amp;A transactions, primarily in wind, solar and transmission. Key Accountabilities<ul> <li>Develop financial models and analysis for renewable energy projects.</li> <li>Assist with structured finance product development, including developing structural solutions for tax equity investments.</li> <li>Develop and deliver internal / external investment presentations and briefs.</li> <li>Identify and quantify key investment drivers and perform sensitivities.</li> <li>Support development activities and asset due diligence efforts, driving internal consideration of project value and risk.</li> <li>Perform general research duties and statistical analysis.</li> <li>Analyze market risk factors, pricing and risk management products, including hedges.</li> <li>Support treasury and capital planning functions.</li> <li>Participate in meetings with internal/external clients.</li> <li>Respond to information requests from financial institutions and over time, be the contact person for lenders and tax equity investors, including responding to requests for additional analysis.</li> <li>Provide transaction support as a junior team member throughout financing processes.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Experience/Qualifications/Education Required <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related area combined with at least 4-6 years of project finance, corporate finance, or M&amp;A experience within a financial firm or energy operating company</li> <li>1-2 years of business reporting, portfolio underwriting, capital raising, or corporate valuation work </li> <li>Advanced degree and/or CFA certification is optional</li> <li>Project Finance acquisition, management or transaction experience preferred.</li> <li>Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modelling techniques</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively and fluently.</li> <li>Ability to work with others to meet deadlines, effective at engagement and driving results towards common corporate goals</li> <li>Ability to synthesize data and complex concepts into informed recommendations and concise presentations</li> <li>Must be thorough, thoughtful, and able to perform well under pressure</li> <li>Ability to organize time well and set proper priorities.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and presentation software</li></ul> The expected starting pay range for this role is $90,000 - $122,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
