Job Description

Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) has the fastest, lowest cost path to commercial fusion energy.
CFS is collaborating with MIT to leverage decades of research combined with new groundbreaking high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology. HTS magnets will enable compact fusion power plants that can be constructed faster and at lower cost. The mission is to deploy fusion power plants to meet global decarbonization goals as fast as possible. CFS has assembled a team of leaders in tough tech, fusion science, and manufacturing with a track record of rapid execution. Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is looking for a data analyst to support in the execution of HRIS strategy. If you love analyzing data and finding key insights, are excited about learning new technologies, and passionate about experimenting to create the best HR team and company around then this role might be for you.

This team member will:

  • Provide data support for the end to end life cycle of employees at CFS
  • Enter, track, and update employee data into Bamboo and other systems
  • Process changes in employee status including changes in compensation, schedule, and supervisor
  • Monitor, edit, and insure integrity of all HR data
  • Provide regular reports as well as respond to ad-hoc data reporting requests 
  • Coordinate small scale projects with internal customers to resolve technical issues
  • Streamline and automate processes where possible

The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, principles, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of one or more HRIS systems is a must and knowledge of BambooHR is a plus
  • Proven ability to analyze data and generate insights 
  • Ability to work with uncertainty
  • Discretion to work with highly confidential data is a must
  • Ability to script / code is a plus 

Additional experience and/or qualifications:

  • Experience with presenting data to seniority and audiences that include Executive Leadership Teams and Leadership teams
  • Experience in a fast pace start up environment
  • Ability to perform activities such as sitting and typing for extended periods of time
