Job Description

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a People Operations Associate who has the ability to keep a fast-growing company from falling off the rails through excellent organizational and people skills. You’re a natural community builder who is excited by the idea of bringing new talent into the organization and speaking with a wide variety of candidates across different specialties. You are process-driven and enjoy streamlining workflows so that everyone can perform at their best. To help you be successful, we have assembled a supportive team as well as a network of vendors to help you accomplish the variety of tasks at hand.

What you can look forward to:

  • Building and supporting a mission-driven team that is dedicated to facilitating the energy industry’s transition to renewables
  • Reviewing resumes, screening candidates, and working with hiring managers on talent acquisition
  • Coordinating both virtual and in-person team events
  • Continually improving the systems and frameworks we have in place
  • Researching, benchmarking, recommending, and building new tools/programs
  • A full suite of benefits -- medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HSA, FSA, corporate discounts, and more

What you’ll likely need to do the job well:

  • Jack of all trades approach: You appreciate task variety in your workday and can switch gears from onboarding a new employee, to researching the impacts of new policies in a particular state, to coordinating logistics for our annual retreat -- all in a day’s work!
  • Natural, authentic people skills: You are a great listener who possesses strong interpersonal skills and is quick to build trust.
  • Strong verbal and written communication: You are able to bring people together and keep the team rowing in the same direction through clear, thoughtful communication.
  • Organizational skills: You have a meticulous manner with a passion for crafting scalable systems and processes to keep things in order.
  • Startup mentality: You may have worked on a small team in the past or you just enjoy rolling up your sleeves to knock out whatever needs doing. You adapt quickly and new challenges don’t scare you because you know how to ask the right questions and tap the right resources to find solutions.

Nice to have:

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Familiarity with any of the following tools: Microsoft Office, Notion, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training
  • Recruiting experience
  • A background in renewable energy or an interest in learning about the industry
