Job Description

As we tackle this ambition, we seek a Director of Brand Marketing to lead global brand strategy and execute targeted, integrated marketing plans that allow us to continue building a mission-driven brand that riders and cities love. This role will report to the Global Head of Communications and Brand and manage a team responsible for social media, marketing and web strategy.
The preferred location for this position is New York City. We also welcome applicants from other Eastern time zone locations where Lime operates within the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Lead strategy development, execution and measurement of a global brand marketing plan
  • Champion Lime’s mission across the company, integrating our core principles and brand strategy into all parts of the business
  • Partner with Communications, Creative and Rider Growth to nurture a consistent and meaningful brand voice across all channels, including developing measurable, strategic brand content for our core audiences
  • Work with team to own all aspects of integrated proactive (and reactive when necessary) brand campaigns in our cities across offline, paid and owned channels, ensuring they support global goals and local needs
  • Lead brand and message positioning plans with cross-functional partners when preparing to go-to-market with new products
  • Oversee the evolution and scaling of Lime’s social media strategy 
  • Mentor, manage and work alongside a tight-knit marketing and social media team
  • Partner with agencies, as needed, ensuring we maintain consistency of global brand and localize effectively

About you:

  • 12+ years brand marketing (including successful paid and earned programs) in a high-growth environment, ideally with experience in a start-up-to-public company journey and culture
  • Proven success building culturally relevant brands, particularly small ones without huge budgets, to drive awareness, educate target customers and increase desire in the marketplace
  • Ability to develop data- and insights-driven creative programs that hit KPIs, without always having an established path at the outset 
  • High-energy, proactive and adaptable problem-solver
  • Empathetic and confident people manager
  • Great creative instincts and ability to confidently communicate with and influence a diverse audience across the company
  • A natural curiosity to always listen to our riders, look out for cultural trends, measure and learn
  • Maintain cool and humor in times of stress
  • Experience working in a global company across time zones, with an understanding of how to both maintain consistency of global messaging as well as openness to understanding and applying cultural nuances
