We are looking for an outstanding attorney to join our fast-growing EMEA legal team as Associate Legal Counsel for Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria). You will advise on and work with a variety of legal issues at one of the fastest growing startups in history. For this new and exciting position you will have experience in counselling on all legal topics concerning the company, ranging from administrative and public law issues , litigation,  including managing personal injury claims, to familiarity with data sharing & commercial contracts.  You will have 3 to 5 years experience working on these types of matters either in an in-house or private practice environment, ideally as a  corporate, commercial  or litigation lawyer. Being fluent in both English and Polish is mandatory. Another European language would be beneficial. You will have a pragmatic , solution focused, cost-efficient approach and enjoy working in an informal, startup-style, structure.
We are a remote first company and, for this role, we welcome applications in proximity to Warsaw or Krakow.

What You'll Do:

• This role will advise on a full range of legal topics concerning the Eastern Europe market, including regulatory compliance, administrative and public law, employment law, commercial law, consumer law, insurance and civil liability, litigation and personal injury law;
• Work effectively across business units and corporate functions to resolve complex business and risk management issues;
• You will be the main point of contact for the local day to day legal queries relating to operations in Eastern Europe supporting the Regional General Manager for Eastern Europe in particular;
• Lead outside counsel relationships as necessary.

About You:

• Ability to practice law in Poland and/or another Eastern European jurisdiction;3+ years relevant post-qualification experience (salary dependent on experience);
• Experience in working for or advising international businesses on multi-jurisdictional matters and comfortable working across different legal jurisdictions and multilingual;
• Experience in administrative and public law would be beneficial;
• Proven high-performing legal experience;
• Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical, business-friendly advice to stakeholders;
• Strong analytical and strategic skills; ability to drive issues to a quick resolution that factors in many non-legal variables, such as brand-risk, communications, government relations, tax, insurance, finance and other business units;
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity;
• Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to build the processes and systems to prevent them from occurring.
