The internship will focus on providing a valuable learning experience while supporting the team in various initiatives. As the NL Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about the accounting processes in SNV and you will be part of the NL accounting team (approx. 4-5 FTEs), finance department, located in The Hague, the Netherlands.  The NL Accounting Team is mostly responsible for:   <ul><li>Financial administration of global teams and of projects lead from the Netherlands (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, fixed assets and cash)  </li></ul><ul><li>Recording the salary related transactions of NL staff as well as international staff.  </li></ul><ul><li>Auditing expense reports </li></ul><ul><li>Recording other billable costs to projects  </li></ul><ul><li>Month, Extensive and Year-end closure processes   </li></ul><ul><li>Transferring the liquidity funds to SNV countries </li></ul><ul><li>Carrying out payments on behalf of SNV countries </li></ul><ul><li>Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation with SNV countries  </li></ul><ul><li>VAT return on quarterly basis </li></ul><ul><li>Reporting to the donors as per the contracted deadlines </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinating the projects audit (where applicable). </li></ul>This internship offers a unique chance to:  <ul><li>Gain experience in the development sector by working on real-world tasks and projects.  </li></ul><ul><li>Receive mentorship from experienced professionals in a dynamic team environment.  </li></ul><ul><li>Develop skills in accounting, communication, and international collaboration.  </li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to impactful work that makes a difference.  </li></ul>Your tasks will be tailored to align with your learning goals, providing a meaningful experience.
