We are looking for an Operations Associate to join our team, leading our local operations team on the ground in Melbourne. As a local leader responsible for fleet health, you will lead a team of warehouse staff to drive operational performance in your region, and oversee performance of our fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes. You will be an integral part of building new local processes and mechanisms, as well as driving process execution and efficiency through data-based decisions.
You will be at the core of our strategy to transform urban commuting and help people get where they need to go!

What You'll Do

  • Build a high-performing team - Shape hiring needs, execute on those needs, and train new team members
  • Execute on the local strategy - Taking Lime’s vision and interpreting this to the local market with the Operations Manager, ensuring we're constantly evolving, innovating, and prioritizing the right projects to meet business needs
  • Optimize local performance - Train, measure, set targets, and manage the overall team performance
  • Make data driven decisions - Utilize our data (customer input, supply/demand, and on the ground experiences) to identify opportunities and how we can improve our business
  • Manage the completion and performance of a local team of warehouse staff, mechanics and , including resolution of potential urgent crises for daily infrastructure operations
  • Partner with the community and build key relationships in councils. 
  • Regularly communicate business updates with the Operations Manager

About You

  • At least 1 - 2 years working in a fast-paced operations environment, or a tenacious graduate with some real-world experience under their belt
  • Know Melbourne like the back of your hand - You understand the local market, its needs and how people move
  • Capable of motivating and coaching your team to perform at their highest, and navigating challenging external stakeholders
  • Grit and an entrepreneurial spirit - Being at a startup company means not everything will go according to plan. You should be a strong multi-tasker and be a high-energy person, able to make decisions in an unstructured environment.
  • Owner mentality - You own the local market experience, being customer obsessed in serving your community and ensuring our local operations are continuously changing to best meet the hyperlocal needs
  • Valid driver license and good driving record
  • Natural and autonomous leadership skills, people management experience is a plus
