Our diverse and skilled teams are engaged in major projects across Transport, Water, Energy and renewables sectors.  The Role  We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Infrastructure + Energy Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Team Lead, Global Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for working with Finance leads across the Group to provide the financial oversight for the Business Line as well as leading key Finance activities for the Business Line.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Managing detailed and accurate financial data for the Business Line to facilitate timely reporting and enable informed business decisions including analysis of Commercial, Financial and Project Performance</li><li> Contributing to the commercial performance of the Business Line through overview of Lockup Management</li><li>Leading the forecast and budget processes for the Business Line.</li><li>Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li></ul> Providing necessary support to enable achievement of ANZ’s financial targets through sound financial governance<ul><li>Assisting with analysis of projects including financial performance, cost allocation, earned value and scenario analysis</li><li>Delivering lock-up management including the oversight of preparation of invoices and supporting information within the time frame required by the contract or client as directed</li><li>Assisting project employees with the provision of financial information to meet project requirements including charge rules, calculations and cost data</li><li>Supporting Major Projects, Joint Ventures and Alliances including cost monitoring and consolidation, invoicing and cash flow management, and general financial support and audits as directed</li><li>Assisting with the training for team members in the use of the financial system and tools related to project finance management</li><li>Assisting with any financial system and tools initiatives and rollouts as directed</li><li>Assisting with queries referred to the Finance team including project planning, monthly reviews, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general finance duties</li><li>Assisting with new business integration management through due diligence and operational enhancement of subsidiary businesses as directed</li><li>Providing support to the ANZ Finance team with key business initiatives and focus areas within area of specialism</li><li>Complying to SJ Group policies, procedures, systems and controls for all financial processes.  </li></ul>About You  Suitable applicants will be/have:  <ul><li>Degree in Commerce / Accounting related</li><li>Experience in a similar Senior Financial Analyst role, within a global organisation including working at Group or Regional level across multiple jurisdictions</li><li>Advanced SAP experiences essential</li><li>Previous experience managing teams</li><li>The ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision when required</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment</li><li>Advanced level in Microsoft applications including Power BI  </li></ul>In return, SMEC offers you the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy in an environment where your fresh ideas and enthusiasm will be welcomed and rewarded.  Link to benefits: http://www.smec.com/en_au/careers/your-career-with-SMECFor a confidential discussion regarding this opportunity, please contact Nicholas Fischer-White at nicholas.fischer-white@smec.com  To find out more about SMEC, please visit our careers page at www.smec.com/careers  All recruitment activities go through our Recruitment &amp; Talent function and currently, this role doesn’t require agency input.
