Established to unlock the potential of offshore wind across the globe, our talented team, exciting pipeline and solid capital commitment give us the potential to become one of the world’s most successful offshore wind companies. We entered the market with a portfolio of operational and development assets, alongside the resources, capabilities and resilience to deliver offshore wind energy at scale. To support this ambition, we are expanding our legal team with a Senior Legal Counsel who will play a key role in shaping the agreements, strategies, and frameworks that bring large-scale renewable projects to life in Belgium and around the world.Your role:<ul><li>You will be joining JERA Nex bp’s dynamic legal team focusing on energy offtake, regulatory matters and permitting for renewable projects in Belgium and abroad. </li><li>You will advise on and negotiate strategic renewable energy offtake and regulated agreements, including contracts for difference, corporate power purchase agreements (financial or physical), grid connection and proximity agreements for offshore wind energy projects. You will advise on legal risk and liabilities associated with such contracts and how to manage these. As a member of the cross-practice offtake team, you will furthermore be involved in defining the offtake strategy.</li><li>You will advise on and support permitting of such projects across the globe (incl. permitting &amp; environmental compliance, stakeholder engagement support, land access, etc.).</li><li>You will liaise with your colleagues of the business teams (incl. business development, projects, offtake, technology) to ensure and coordinate appropriate support.
