This new position will primarily serve customers in the Shanghai region, including SAIC, GM, Geely, Volvo, Chery, Xiaomi, Leap Motor, and others. The role is critical to ensuring fast, effective responses to customer needs and enhancing our local technical support capabilities, to compete with the most competitors around Shanghai.<ul><li>Lead and conduct the engineering activities associated with the mechanical product development process for torque management system from new business opportunity through production launch. This includes:<ul><li>Analyzing the customer requirements ensuring the product meets performance, packaging and serviceability requirements, and in the resolution of open issues.</li><li>Developing proposals for the mechanical hardware &amp; supporting the estimation process for new business opportunities.</li><li>Performing mechanical hardware system design.</li><li>Providing direction for or issuing CAE/NVH requests, as needed, for analysis of assemblies and components.</li><li>Leading a team in the creation and maintenance of mechanical hardware assembly/system level DFMEAs.</li><li>The development and monitoring of ADVP&amp;R's.</li><li>Issuing lab work orders providing direction for builds, tests, component modifications, and inspection.</li><li>Conducting &amp; leading meetings including design kick-off, design release, root cause analysis and others as necessary.</li><li>Developing engineering specifications for the product.</li><li>Leading the problem solving for root cause investigation and solution creation of mechanical system.</li></ul></li><li>Provide engineering support for the product development.
