Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. <br><br><strong>The Role:</strong></p><ul><li>Be a significant contributor to engineering team in terms of occupant package conceptualization &amp; ensuring class leading overall vehicle ergonomics/comfort on multiple vehicle programs</li><li>Generate, catalogue &amp; implement human factors and occupant package requirements within the vehicle design</li><li>Measure, illustrate and communicate the overall occupant package status based on common industry standards (e.g., SAE J1100)</li><li>Design, develop and utilize the physical mockups and virtual tools to aid in validating the occupant package &amp; overall comfort requirements</li><li>Conduct driver visual ergonomics [reflection/glare] evaluations both virtually [using ANSYS SPEOS] and physically</li><li>Conduct extensive benchmark studies to support the activities to create industry leading interior comfort &amp; spaciousness (include A2MAC1 &amp; subjective forums data)</li><li>Work interactively within a cross functional marketing, design, and vehicle engineering teams, placing priority upon the greater benefit of the vehicle above any one individual system</li><li>Employ and develop efficient tools and an innovative approach to support the development</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>5 + years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience in the field of automotive human factors.</li><li>Proven experience with vehicle comfort &amp; ergonomics concepts and have hands on experience with both subjective as well as quantitative methods of ergonomic evaluations.</li><li>Understanding of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standards, FMVSS/ECE regulation to create occupant layout concepts including spaciousness and visibility requirements.</li><li>Experience with RAMSIS, CAVA &amp; CAD tool skills to create, integrate and maintain 2D/3D vehicle package layouts and ergonomic evaluations.</li></ul><p><strong>Advantageous:</strong></p><ul><li>Well verse with current &amp; future industry trends and stay abreast of developments in the automotive human factors field.</li><li>Experience in leading the user clinics/customer surveys to capture as well as validate user ergonomic requirements.</li><li>Good understanding of automotive seat comfort and know-how of quantitative/qualitative methods to evaluate seat comfort.</li><li>Ansys SPEOS experience performing reflection and glare evaluations.</li></ul><p><strong>Education Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in science in relevant discipline required.</li><li>Master’s degree in science in relevant discipline preferred.</li></ul><p> </p><div><div><div><div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
