The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing, a strong understanding of wage laws, and excellent organizational skills. What You'll Do: <ul style=""><li>Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll for all employees, including salaried and hourly workers. </li><li>Ensure accuracy in timesheets, deductions, and payroll calculations. </li><li>Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws. </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Handle payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits deductions, workers’ compensation, and other payroll-related reports and adjustments. </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Prepare and submit payroll reports to management. </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with audits as necessary. </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve discrepancies. </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure smooth payroll operations. </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and best practices. </li><li>Set up and maintain employee personnel files.  </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Assist with registration in new states, as needed.</li></ul> Skills &amp; Qualifications: <ul style=""><li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). </li></ul><ul style=""><li>5-10 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry. </li></ul><ul style=""><li>Proficiency in using various payroll platforms.
