We are seeking a skilled and highly entrepreneurial leader to join Lime’s senior leadership team as our Vice President Corporate and Business Development. Reporting to the CEO, you will serve as a member of the leadership team and be a strategic thought partner to our CEO, C-Team, and Board. You will own strategy development and execution and will proactively expand revenue through new lines of business, sourcing and evaluating M&A and partnership opportunities, while leading a team of Corporate and Business Development professionals.  
The Corporate and Business Development teams are focused on evaluating and executing on Lime’s M&A strategy as well as identifying, negotiating, and developing global partnerships that will help to accelerate Lime’s mission and growth. Corporate Development develops and maintains relationships with players within the industry while Business Development focuses on growing Lime’s business through partnerships, and managing Lime’s 3rd party platform of travel and public transit operators.  

What you'll do:

  • Build, execute, and continuously scale new business ideas and revenue opportunities  
  • Collaborate in defining Lime’s corporate vision and strategy for long range planning
  • Develop holistic recommendations to continue, stop, or accelerate initiatives, incorporating key factors including competitive advantages, alignment with business priorities, ROI, and execute on these new opportunities
  • Determine opportunities to expand Lime’s domestic and international business through identifying new products launches and service growth
  • Assess fit, feasibility, and financial impact of new corporate and divisional strategic investments and make appropriate recommendations
  • Shape strategies to create and inform new revenue streams for Lime through sponsorships and alternative monetization approaches
  • Assume full management responsibility for the company’s deal making; including strategies related to M&A, fundraising efforts (both private and public), and business development deals
  • Provide guidance and oversee the company’s growing pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Work with key stakeholders in overall strategy formulation, ensuring that departmental strategies are aligned in order to safeguard against conflict of interests as well as guarantee a unified front in the business’s direction
  • Lead, negotiate, and implement significant company deals and financing
  • Support Investor Relations activities and fundraising activities
  • Lead, guide, and mentor the Corporate and Business Development teams  

About you:

  • 12 - 15 years of progressive experience in a medium to large size global operating business where you have defined, executed, and managed strategic business deals 
  • At least 8 years of people leadership experience leading teams of Corporate and/or Business Development professionals required 
  • 4+ years experience in management consulting with a background in investment banking, private equity, and as a strategist 
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and manage multiple projects with demanding deadlines across multiple time zones, changing requirements, and limited resources, while adapting your approach to different cultures and working styles
  • High energy with the drive to learn new things and the willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • Demonstrated track record in all elements of deal making, including strategy development, target identification, execution, and assisting in the integration
  • Demonstrated track record in executing all aspects of Corporate and Business Development transactions including equity fundraising (public and private), M&A, joint ventures, debt capital markets, etc 
  • Strategic thinker; ability to think holistically about entire industries and markets to identify new sources of value and build the organizational momentum needed to seize breakout growth trajectories
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; with the ability to communicate to senior leaders, boards and external business partners
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including a firm grasp of the metrics and financial modeling used by investment professionals to inform valuation
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with solid modeling skills and the ability to synthesize data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree required and MBA preferred
