<div><div>Job Summary UGE develops, owns, and operates community and commercial solar and energy storage projects, primarily in the United States. Our team is growing quickly, and we seek a talented and motivated individual to join our Project Finance Team. The Investment Director will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, structuring, negotiation, and closing of all financing transactions—debt, tax equity, and sponsor equity—while ensuring internal alignment and investor transparency. This will include new financing partners as well as the expansion of existing relationships.  The ideal candidate has a strong background in renewable energy finance and a proven track record of capital raising and cross-functional leadership. Reporting Relationships This role will report to the Managing Director, Investments &amp; Systems This role will have one direct report, Investment Manager  Key Responsibilities  Capital Strategy &amp; Execution <ul><li>Drive the origination, structuring, and execution of project-level and corporate financing transactions, including tax equity, construction/term debt, and sponsor equity. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop and maintain relationships with capital providers, including institutional investors, banks, tax equity partners, and private equity sponsors. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate all due diligence and transaction processes with investors, legal counsel, and internal teams. </li></ul><ul><li>Drive negotiations of key financing documents and commercial terms, in collaboration with legal and executive leadership. </li></ul> Team Leadership <ul><li>Directly manage and mentor the Investment Manager, ensuring effective execution across deal processes, modeling, investor communication, and governance. </li></ul><ul><li>Set team priorities, provide professional development opportunities, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate cross-functionally with project development, engineering, legal, and accounting teams to ensure alignment on capital strategy. </li></ul> Financial Modeling &amp; Analysis <ul><li>Oversee and review financial models to evaluate economics, risks, and returns of capital deployments. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide strategic input on deal structuring and capital optimization. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure accuracy and transparency in models used for internal and external stakeholders. </li></ul> Investor Reporting &amp; Compliance <ul><li>Manage investor reporting processes, including periodic financial updates, compliance deliverables, and ad hoc requests. </li></ul><ul><li>Support ongoing relationship management with financing partners to build long-term trust and alignment. </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain a robust capital markets tracker and CRM to support pipeline visibility and investor engagement. </li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>6–10 years of experience in renewable energy project finance, investment banking, capital markets, or private equity. </li></ul><ul><li>Proven experience closing tax equity, debt, and/or sponsor equity transactions in the energy or infrastructure sectors. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and grow a high-performing team. </li></ul><ul><li>Deep understanding of renewable energy project structures, risks, and financing mechanisms. </li></ul><ul><li>Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, structuring, and investment analysis. </li></ul><ul><li>Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of working directly with senior stakeholders and investors. </li></ul><ul><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple transactions and priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> Benefits &amp; Compensation<ul><li>Competitive salary and incentive compensation</li><li>Option to enroll in a fully paid Medical, Dental and Vision plan</li><li>Our workforce is about 80% remote.
