About You:You balance analytical prowess with excellent soft skills. You have experience with loans and debt financing, whether in origination, facilitation, servicing, or in another capacity. You understand terms and conditions, credit approval, and may come from commercial real estate (CRE), telecommunications (including cell phone towers), energy, or banking. You are interested in loan structuring, client interaction and support, and overall portfolio management. You can understand and navigate between the needs of debt seekers and lenders. About Energetic Insurance:Energetic Insurance develops novel risk management solutions to unlock exponential growth in renewable and distributed energy. Our flagship product enables financing of commercial solar projects. We are a fast-paced venture-backed startup that recently closed a Series A fundraising round with participation from strategic venture capital investors from the finance, energy, and insurance sectors. Our team doubled in size in Q4, and we will continue hiring heavily in 2022. Why this role is so unique:You have had experience in finance, but not like this. Our credit insurance policy expands the types of energy projects that are eligible for long term financing. You’ll steward management of a first-of-its kind portfolio and collaborate with our team as we develop creative structuring that touches primary lenders, secondary market purchases, project finance for large projects or portfolio transactions, and asset backed securitization. You will be a key part of the team who will communicate the product’s value proposition to financial industry channel partners and help dramatically increase distributed energy investments. You will help us to drive revenue for our credit insurance policy by developing sticky relationships with financial firms and banks.

  • Structure complex financial transactions and contracts in partnership with Legal Counsel

  • Support the creation of new versions of our core policy as well as new risk management products
  • Facilitate receipt of continuous portfolio updates, assist with monitoring and reporting for the full portfolio, and communicate material changes and updates
  • Prepare market studies and illuminate industry trends
  • Bonus: understand securitization, rating process, and/or other specialty commercial finance topics and speak intelligently about them to bankers and customers

An ideal candidate will have

  • 5+ years working on project financing, credit portfolio or risk management, and/or trade credit financing in commercial real estate, telecommunications, or energy, at a large financial institution or commercial bank

  • Knowledge of financial contracts and the nuances of financial transactions for leases, etc.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex financial concepts and products, including a strong understanding of bankers' point of view, motivations, risk profiles, etc.
