The essential function and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Monitor the daily performance of production and communicate the evaluation to the process/production groups</li><li>Contribute to Teledyne Micropac’s variable costs by making process and equipment operation more efficient &amp; effective</li><li>Initiates continuous improvement and process optimization projects</li><li>Conducts process audits, SPC, PFMEA as set by the process manager</li><li>Assist Process Manager in the preparation of the company performance plan</li><li>Provide technical support and assist in the resolution of manufacturing problems as required</li><li>Confers with vendors to resolve equipment, materials, and/or quality issues that are impacting the quality of the end product being produced</li><li>Applies statistical methods to the analysis of key manufacturing processes and controls</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of BOM structure and change control process</li><li>Team player in pursuit and support of cost reduction activities to achieve company goals</li><li>Ability to work independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction, and work as part of a team</li><li>Capability to accurately and efficiently work on multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Ability to travel “as required” to provide technical support and training</li><li>Identify process bottlenecks and devise solutions to resolve them</li><li>Research new manufacturing technology and equipment and prepare proposals to justify the management expenditure</li><li>Monitor and track manufacturing systems’ functionality and production records, maintain production documentation</li><li>Ensure all processes and equipment comply with all state and federal regulations/guidelines through proactive solutions and technologies</li><li>Implement and advance LEAN manufacturing principles, equipment reliability, and automation into production</li><li>Confer with production management, and maintenance personnel regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production process improvements</li><li>Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance, and operational management ensuring alignment when introducing and implementing new processes, work instructions, and equipment</li></ul>Position Requirements<ul><li>BS degree in engineering or related discipline</li><li>1 year working experience as a Process Engineer or related engineering position</li><li>Minimum of 15 years working experience in a directly related position of responsibility with demonstrated engineering competency may be considered in place of a formal college degree with associated experience</li><li>Lean Six Sigma Certified</li><li>Solid works experience a plus</li><li>Demonstrates accuracy and proficiency in the execution of job responsibilities</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
