The Learning & Development Analyst, will be an integral part of the Beyond People Team and will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing team member adoption and buy-in. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to people, processes, systems, job roles and organization structures. 
The Instructional Design Intern will work with the Director, Learning and Organizational Effectiveness and other key learning team stakeholders to understand and assess their challenges and collaborate to design and develop e-learnings. This role will report to the Director, Learning and Organizational Effectiveness.

TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using our course authoring tool, iSpring, create engaging e-learning courses from our Standard Operating Procedures by creating learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • Revamp existing training materials with L&D department branding, formatting and ensure each training contains active learning objectives, quizzes, course summary and course evaluations
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Communication, Psychology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant learning and development, project management experience preferred
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Visual design skills and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of learning management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Excellent PowerPoint and executive presentation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
