Inspector - *INTERNAL APPLICATIONS ONLYLocation: Scarborough An exciting opportunity to manage and control the Quality process of vehicles in build by ensuring the high standard expected of AD product is met in a controlled and documented manner. Main responsibilities: <ul> <li>Follow agreed Quality Control Process</li> <li>Ensure all defects are recorded and cleared by build stage.</li> <li>Maintain Quality Control Process Communication (white) Boards to include relevant SOP’s, critical care point and fault reduction/quality data.</li> <li>To fully understand the Quality Standard required for area of build. </li> <li>To understand build plan and ensure build moves/ delivery dates are met.</li> <li>To work with Production to ensure operatives understand the quality standards required. </li> <li>To train, educate &amp; guild operators where quality standards are not met.</li> <li>To ensure all build and audit processes are complete prior to release of build stage or delivery of ‘F’ Note</li> <li>Analyse data, develop &amp; implement fault reduction processes.</li> <li>Achieve personal KPI’s set to measure fault reduction.</li> <li>Promote a 5 S culture and assist maintain safe working environment for yourself and other employees.</li> <li>Demonstrate pride &amp; passion in delivering ADL/Plaxton products to Customers.</li> <li>Required to work outside of core hours as required to meet build programme/customer deliveries including a reasonable amount of additional (unpaid) hours.</li> </ul> About You <ul> <li>Self-driven and motivated but also to work as part of a team.</li> <li>Possess a good understanding of Coach/Bus building processes.</li> <li>Understanding of Quality Standards and care points.</li> <li>Thorough understanding of Customer Focus and customer expectations</li> <li>Effective Planning, Communication and Organisational skills.</li> <li>Able to solve problems and initiate change.</li> <li>Computer literate. </li> </ul> Next steps:You have a responsibility to inform your current line/department manager and local human resources representative before applying for the role.Due to the volume of vacancies and applications, we would prefer that you submit your application online.
