OVERVIEW
The primary role of the Document Control Specialist is to work in close relation with the inventory control team and 3rd party cold storage facilities to effectively release products. This role will generate WIP (Work In Process) COAs for customers, review documents for accuracy, ensure they meet requirements, and are recorded. This position will also work closely with the QA team to coordinate timely sign off of quality and production daily packets.

TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate, provide, file, upload, and request COAs
  • Maintain document management to include recording and storage
  • Scan QA documents onto a network drive 
  • Daily assessment of QA/Production packets
  • Conduct root cause investigations and corrective action preventative action. Track and document data.
  • Maintain communication and respond to high priority emails
  • Work closely with inventory control team, 3rd party facilities, and QA team
  • Responsible for releasing and handling raw materials and products on hold
  • Update database with lab results

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years’ experience in document control is preferred
  • PCQI/HACCP strongly encouraged
  • In-depth knowledge of version and revision control of documents
  • Ability to utilize multiple word-processing and database applications.

  • Other qualifications: 
  • Detail oriented, excellent time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Warehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
