We’re looking for a dedicated engineer to join our team to support process development and continuous improvement activities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to continuously improve existing coating, lamination, and sintering processes as well as support the development of new processing methods to improve product performance and reliability consistent with the technology roadmap
Your responsibilities:Apply your knowledge of engineering statistics to design, plan and execute experiments, analyze results, and effectively communicate results to technical leadersCollaborate with failure analysis and test engineering teams to evaluate product performance and reliabilityDevelop, maintain and provide training on standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other instructions for technicians and operators
Minimum Requirements:B.S. in ceramic engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or related field and 2 years' industry experience in a manufacturing or process/materials engineering environmentExperience working in cross-functional teamsStrong collaboration and communication skillsAbility to adapt to the fast-pace, changing needs, and challenges of a high-tech start-upDemonstrated ability to get results
Highly DesiredPractical knowledge of ceramic materials, slurry rheology, and materials processingTraining in the design of experiments, statistics, six sigma methodologiesHigh-temperature furnace or processing experienceExperience with defining processing requirements to deliver results on time and within budget.
