We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Principle Security Engineer to help us safeguard our critical data and bolster our security posture. The new member of our team will focus on scaling a zero trust security model and developing/executing a set of security standards and practices to implement across our organization. The security professional will routinely conduct risk analysis based on the latest cyber threats, advising leadership about the major trends and potential mitigations. The ideal candidate will possess significant knowledge regarding prominent network endpoint defense and detection methodologies and have insight into how adversarial cyber threat actors think and attack. The candidate will bring cyber security awareness to the workforce through developing and conducting training programs.The right person for this role is passionate about cyber security. Job Description:
Identify, plan, and execute needed security changes to existing methods and techniques used throughout the organizationPartner with multi-functional teams to deliver widely impactful security initiativesMonitor networks/logs/systems for security breaches or intrusion using the latest security tools and techniques.Ensure organization compliance with security policies outlined in various certification requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 6 years' experience as a security engineer or in a role with a security focus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.Great interpersonal and communication skillsExtensive knowledge of cyber security for critical infrastructure systems (SCADA, ICS, PLCs, etc.) in an enterprise or lab based environment would be desired, but not necessary.Understanding of corporate network monitoring and security and common network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, radius, wifi, and storage-relatedKnowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, session hijacking, social engineering, and so on.Experience in IAM, RBAC, MFA. Understanding of a mobile device security strategy including MDMExperience with security implementations on firewalls, endpoints protection systems, and intrusion prevention systems. Ability to script in Bash, PowerShell, or Python is a plus.
