Are you ready to redefine energy storage and enable a more sustainable future with us?Join us! We’re hiring Project Managers to help us build out a world-class R&D and pilot-production facility at QuantumScape. You will join a dedicated team charged with ensuring the company can rapidly scale its operations to commercialize the company’s groundbreaking energy storage technology.

In this role, you will:Lead sophisticated projects of critical importance to QuantumScape's future, including purchasing new equipment, coordinating the install and operation, procuring vital software systems, and planning scale-up activities with external partnersEstablish and track project timeline, craft the procedures used to guide projects from kick-off through successful completionBe the point of contact for all things related to project execution. Help the team and suppliers stay organized and aligned throughout each project's lifecycleLead project meetings both internally and externally. Develop relationships with vendor. Coordinate demos, review proposals. Set the agenda, guide the discussion, take notes, delegate and follow up on action itemsOrganize and document the required design, safety, EHS & facility reviews needed for each project.Effectively communicate project status to all interested team members, including senior management, internal customers including senior scientists, and external contractors and service providers.

Minimum Requirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering, business, construction management, or another technical fieldExperience in production or manufacturing scale-up is desireableProven track record to coordinate multiple concurrent and complex projects across diverse teams in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and excellent project management skillsYou are an outstanding and effective communicator that can empathize with others while still holding them accountable

Additional Skills:Experience working in R&D environments is a plusKnowledge of powder processing, ceramics, and high temperature operations are all beneficialHaving a PMP certification is a bonus
