We are looking for a conscientious and hardworking R&D battery materials technician to join our Electrolyte Development Team to help support our groundbreaking experiments.
Responsibilities:
In accordance with all safety policies and procedures, you will collaborate with scientists and engineers to support their experiments.You will help execute materials processing for R&D experiments.You will build battery material films using high volume web processing and pouch cells, and QuantumScape proprietary devices per SOPs or with scientists' oversight.You will detail daily experiments and communicate completion status using MS Office applications and an internal website.You will notice and give feedback for anomalies or unexpected results.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
You are able to handle a dynamic research environment.You are ready to learn a range of lab skills.You are open and capable to work within a Clean Dry Room environment every day.You are flexible and can collaborate on different projects with researchers.You are comfortable using software for task completion and logging data.
Minimum Requirements:
You have a minimum of a high school diploma with at least 2 years working in a lab R&D environment or a 2-4 year technical degree program.You are committed to delivering high quality results and share our real passion for our mission.You can use basic computer software, including Microsoft Office.
Valued Experiences:
Past experience in a materials or battery lab.Past experience in web processingA technical degree in Chemistry, Materials, or Ceramics.Physical Requirements:While the majority of the work will be conducted on 1st shift, M-F, 8 am to 5 pm, you should be open to 2nd shift work if required.The bulk of the work will be conducted in dryrooms and/or cleanrooms.Working collaboratively with designers and researchers to support their critical development activities.
