We’re looking for someone with experience at the intersection of advocacy campaigning and social media, including content/creative, influencers, paid media, and strategic communications.This position is central to planning social media and influencer campaigns, as well as overseeing day-to-day functions with other members of the social media team. The Senior Manager, Social Media &amp; Influencers also works with other Digital, Communications, Development and Program staff to elevate the work of Earthjustice among existing supporters and new audiences.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>Team Management (20%)<ul><li>In collaboration with Associate Director, lead major organizational social media and influencer campaign efforts in support of awareness, advocacy, and fundraising goals</li><li>Oversee day-to-day social media team functions with staff, freelancers, and vendors</li><li>Contribute to planning and visioning for the Social Media team and build connectivity across the larger Digital Engagement team</li></ul>Social Media &amp; Influencer Strategy (40%)<ul><li>Develop short- and long-term organic social media strategies, ensuring alignment with Communications &amp; Digital priorities for rapid response and planned campaigns</li><li>Work cross-functionally with project leads, creative teams, communications strategists, and other stakeholders to translate Earthjustice’s campaigns and focus areas into compelling social campaigns</li><li>Oversee development and execution of social campaigns that support KPIs and objectives, drawing on data and analytics to inform future planning</li><li>Partner with Marketing team on planning and implementation of influencer campaigns</li><li>Work cross-functionally with Editorial team and leadership to develop campaign message guidance and ensure cohesion across channels</li></ul>Content Development (20%)<ul><li>Set tone and direction of message guidance and copywriting tailored to audiences, campaigns, outcomes, and goals</li><li>Collaborate with Design &amp; Video staff on planning and concepting of social media creative, such as graphics, explainers, animations, and short form video</li><li>Provide constructive feedback to social media and production team members throughout the content creation process</li></ul>Workflow &amp; Project Management (20%)<ul><li>Collaborate across the team to develop plans that integrate Communications efforts such as press, paid media, web, SMS, and more.</li><li>Manage timelines and workflows, keeping teammates informed about priorities and proactively communicating about shifts in timeline</li><li>Maintain social media content calendar for social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, LinkedIn, etc.) and ensure alignment with other Digital &amp; Comms team plans</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>BA in Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of training and professional experience preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the field of social media, advocacy campaigning, and strategic communications.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in digital communications for nonprofits and/or campaigns</li><li>Background in overseeing content creation and knowledge of “social-first” creative</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to maintain workflow with remote teams through proactive updates.</li><li>Ability to coordinate multiple projects with varying size and stakeholder engagement. Ability to multitask while staying organized and productive.</li><li>Background in team leadership, including management of people and projects. Comfort in holding coworkers accountable to deadlines and deliverables.</li><li>Understanding of how earned, owned, and paid strategies connect across channels; experience with earned media, advertising, email strategies a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of environmental issues preferred.</li><li>Agency experience a plus.</li><li>Awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds and orientations.</li><li>Contribution to the creation of a diverse, equitable and inclusive work culture that encourages and celebrates differences. </li></ul><h2>Salary &amp; Benefits</h2>We offer a mission- and employee-focused work environment and a competitive compensation package, including excellent benefits.
