We seek to change the paradigm in energy storage by developing a completely new class of electrical energy storage device. We are looking for a Cell Build Quality Engineer with experience to join our team who can improve the quality of cell build in our battery assembly process
Job Description:Determine and create key quality metrics/indicators to track performanceIdentify and advise opportunities to improve quality systems and develop long-term strategies to increase battery yieldWork closely with process engineer and battery assembly technician to ensure QC practices are being followed.Coordinate and ensure common equipment maintenance is being performed and tracked in a timely manner.Work collaboratively with the workforce on 8D completion and action item closures.Collect, analyze, and report quality data using statistical techniques to track performanceAssist teams in developing Standard Operating Procedures and Work InstructionsRequiredBachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering , Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related fieldBachelors + 5 years, Masters + 3 or PhD with experience in quality engineering role and/or battery assembly processKnowledgeable with statistics analysis software JMP and/or Minitab preferred.Excellent personal and communication skills.Hands-on skills in Quality Engineering tools, such as Measurement system analysis, Gage R&R, SPC, Process control plan, SOP, traceability system, process capability analysis.Ability to work independently on root cause analysis and develop corrective actions
