Do you want to help build world-class R&D and manufacturing capabilities in the energy industry? We need a Sourcing Manager to join our team and ensure the company can rapidly scale its operations to commercialize this technology and change the world.
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end RFI, RFP and RFQ processes across direct, indirect and / or capital equipment categories. Drive competitive sourcing events and ensure commercial terms are agreed and documented with awarded suppliersLead day-to-day supplier negotiations on an ad-hoc basis, working directly with technical teams to implement best-in-class commercial termsWork with technical and engineering teams to define product specifications and lead the vendor selection process – ensure that requirements are collected and satisfied with vendors. Support Project Managers to collect and consolidate information ahead of sourcing eventsCollaborate with Supply Managers and Buyers to monitor supplier performance against agreed upon service levelsAnalyze current and historical spend to identify supplier consolidation opportunitiesBuild and maintain should-cost models on specific products or cost categories to inform negotiation strategy and business objectivesConduct quarterly and bi-annual business reviews of strategic sourcing plan. Define and track cost reduction initiatives across supply, demand and process improvements Coordinate contract management process by proactively handling upcoming renewals and identifying new spend areas to bring under contract
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent experienceProven experience in manufacturing operations or sourcing environmentConsistent track record of negotiating with global suppliers and driving cost optimization initiativesProficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft ExcelStrong communicator that can empathize with others while still holding them accountable
Additional Skills:
Experience working in R&D environment and / or with large CAPEX projectsExperience with eRFX or eAuction platforms, contract lifecycle management (CLM) and data visualization software (e.g. Tableau) a plus
