These processes include <em>welding</em>, riveting, clinching and adhesive bonding, aiming to ensure structural integrity and <em>manufacturing</em> efficiency. The candidate should have expertise and experience in automotive <em>manufacturing</em> with a full understanding of joining <em>equipment</em>. This includes providing input and specification of <em>equipment</em>, quality, cycle time, design for manufacturability and joint development.</p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Develop and implement quality control plans for Body in White lines including Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) focused on joint integrity and sustainability.</li><li>Plan, and execute joint validation during all launch phases and SOP</li><li>Optimize joining processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Robot path optimization, sequencing, parameter setup. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, quality, process to ensure process stability and performance</li><li>Develop training programs for joining techs and production staff, create process documentation, and establish preventive quality plans</li><li>Support / assist Maintenance in <em>troubleshooting</em> difficult breakdowns and chronic <em>equipment</em> failures.</li><li>Six Sigma Problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Experience in BIW Tear down process and control plan/ reaction plan.</li></ul><p>You Bring:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.</li><li>5 years of relevant experience with joining <em>equipment</em> and processes for BIW automotive: Self piercing rivet, remote laser <em>welding</em>, spot <em>welding</em>, material dispensing and brazing</li><li>5+ years of relevant experience in setting up and running adaptive, Six Sigma, and other joining monitoring and optimization systems</li><li>Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks), and a strong understanding of process monitoring and optimization techniques.</li><li>Kuka and <em>Fanuc</em> experience for day-to-day joining process application (robot path &amp; position teaching is a plus)</li><li>Proven interpersonal skills and ability to objectively resolve conflict within a large group</li><li>Able to work flexible hours and schedules as required</li><li>Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams.</li><li>Adhesive vision system and controller (Coherix, Nordson)</li><li>Mechanical Joining System and controller (Deprag, Henrob)</li></ul></div><div> </div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
