As a team, we want to level up on Quality. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with experience in supporting (as well as coaching) Agile teams in their journey towards better quality to join us.
You will support our QA Lead in building our new Quality Assurance guild and setting up the foundations of Ecosia’s quality culture.Do you want to become part of a fun team with a company-wide impact, and bring the best quality to the hand of our millions of users?
The salary range for this role:
EUR 58.8 - 69.4k, based on your skills and experience
Our hiring process consists of several steps:
1. First call with our recruiter2. A small case study3. Technical conversation with 2 of your potential future colleagues4. Presentation of the case study to a cross-functional team5. Final, non-technical interview
Some of the steps can be scheduled on the same day for a faster process.
During Covid -19 all steps are done remotely.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE AN IMPACT
- Being a founding member of our Quality Assurance guild with our QA Lead.
- Collaborate with different cross-functional teams, both mobile and web development-oriented, to define, implement, and document test strategies, and establish best practices.
- Own and lead product quality topics in alignment with Product Owners and Engineering Leads.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers on testing efforts to optimize for quality and usability.
- Train and coach different cross-functional teams on strategy, best practices, and adopting a Quality mindset.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
- You have 3+ years of experience in quality assurance.
- You have experience with mobile and web development testing.
- You have experience with Test Automation and associated tooling (Appium, Selenium, REST API).
- You have experience working in a cross-functional team using Agile methodologies.
- You know how to balance technical constraints and business requirements.
- You have proven experience training cross-functional teams in adopting a Quality culture/mindset.
- You are fluent in English (German not required).
- You share our core values and ways of working.
