Job Description

StreetLight pioneered the use of Big Data analytics to help transportation professionals and data analysts measure, analyze and improve transportation. Applying proprietary machine-learning algorithms to location data from mobile phones, vehicle navigation devices and IoT, StreetLight sheds light on travel patterns and makes them available on-demand via the world’s first SaaS platform for mobility, StreetLight InSight®. From measuring traffic volumes to optimizing new infrastructure to planning for autonomous vehicles, StreetLight powers more than 10,000 projects every month. StreetLight was recently acquired by Jacobs but continues to operate as an independent software organization. 
Streetlight Data is seeking an Inside Sales Manager (ISM) to grow and lead the Inside Sales Team selling enterprise SaaS and related mobility data offerings. The ISM will be a “player coach”, leading by example to help the Inside Sales Team execute successful sales strategies and tactics to meet annual and quarterly sales targets. You will report to the SVP of Sales and be responsible for growing and coaching a team that will sell into Enterprise, Government, and Architect/Engineering/Consulting verticals, where Streetlight has a strong presence, to develop mid-market sales in each vertical.  You will be a member of the Sales Management Team, with the opportunity to bring innovative approaches to the markets we serve.   This position requires past success in managing and coaching entry-level sales people, while having the aptitude to produce forecasts, sales strategies and performance tracking and coaching to lead the team in the exciting Big Data analytics space. A working knowledge of transportation metrics, location-based services data (LBS), GIS or related geospatial data is strongly preferred.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Lead a team that sells StreetLight’s mobility data offerings including SaaS, pay-per-use and custom project subscriptions across multiple verticals.
  • Coach ISRs to prospect, qualify and close business.
  • Direct efforts to build a sales pipeline across the team in a SaaS solution selling environment.
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing to develop effective campaigns to reach new customers.
  • Use Salesforce, Outreach and other available tools to accelerate and track team performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers to develop technical solutions to meet prospect needs.
  • Develop approaches to midmarket sales for Cities, Companies and AEC Firms for subscription sales of up to $50,000 in value.
  • Meet and exceed your Team’s monthly pipeline development goals.
  • Meet and exceed your Team’s annual and quarterly sales quota.
  • Support new market identification, validation and expansion efforts and collaborate with Sales leadership to put your ideas into action.
  • Continuously seek new ways to grow and develop both professionally and personally.

What we Need to See:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  •  3-5 years of experience in a closing role
  • Experience managing entry level sales professionals selling SaaS products, extra points if you have experience in data, analytics, GIS or related field
  •  A strong work ethic and understanding that self-discipline and hard work are a minimum standard for success in Sales
  • Proven ability to assess, coach and develop sales talent
  • Familiarity with modern sales engagement and automation tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, fluency in Salesforce.com 
  • A strong team player, comfortable working up, down and across organizations, internally and externally, in order to create success for yourself and your teammates
