The Attendance Coach is responsible for clerical work involved in accurately maintaining attendance records and assisting Corpsmembers, staff and management in all matters related to attendance. Essential Functions<ul><li>Receives and confirms attendance information by phone and/or email from sites, noting necessary data to incorporate into attendance record keeping system. </li><li>Receives, reviews, and verifies a variety of forms and records for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to applicable rules, regulations and procedures. </li><li>Collaborates with Human Resources, Programs and Corpsmember Development departments to generate performance discussion and management forms. Responsible for generating disciplinary action forms related to attendance and sending them to the site(s) for completion.</li><li>Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality in carrying out responsibilities. </li><li>Answers telephones in a timely, friendly fashion; screen calls; return calls as directed with requested information; assist callers as able; completes tasks accurately and by their deadline; complete messages; forwards calls to other staff members as appropriate. </li><li>Performs daily record keeping activities required to maintain accurate attendance records and data files according to organization procedures. </li><li>Contacts Corpsmembers and staff to verify absences. </li><li>Provides daily attendance notifications/updates for sites; work closely with site staff.</li><li>Compiles statistical information related to attendance; prepares, prints, and distributes attendance reports and lists to management. </li><li>Updates computerized data files and records on a regular basis for information and notifies appropriate staff of variances in attendance patterns. </li><li>Files forms and correspondence; maintains confidentiality of records as assigned. </li><li>Plans, schedules, and arranges meetings. This can involve working Saturdays or Sundays, as needed.</li><li>California Class C Driver’s License, validation of driving record for commercial policy insurability per the requirements of the state of California. </li><li>Occasional use of private vehicle for company purposes; validation of driving record and approval of commercial policy insurability is required in conjunction with proof of personal minimum liability insurance coverage per the requirements of the State of California.  Mileage will be reimbursed at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) standard mileage rate.</li><li>Pass a post-offer drug/alcohol screen test before commencing employment (required to submit for the drug/alcohol screening at a company designated facility) </li><li>Pass a post-offer Live Scan (fingerprint/background clearance-Department of Justice) before commencing employment.  </li><li>Reference checks will be conducted.  Employment is contingent upon receipt of acceptable references. </li></ul> Salary and Benefits<ul><li>$21.24 - $25.90/hour (reflects the entire pay range); a starting wage higher than $21.24 per hour is based on a level of experience and education that exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale (salary range). </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits with 93% employer coverage of costs for employee and 79% coverage for additional family members.    </li><li>3 weeks of vacation accrued per year; 11 paid Holidays and 80 hours of sick time accrued per year.   </li><li>401k retirement plan with match of up to 3%.  </li></ul> Internal Application Procedure Internal applicants must review the Transfers/Promotions guidelines and complete a LA Conservation Corps Transfer/Promotion Career Opportunity Application within three (3) working days of the “Posting Date.” This information can be requested from the Human Resources Department.
