This strategic leadership role requires a deep understanding of the water market, a strong background in sales, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems including municipalities, utilities, and regulatory bodies.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and execute a comprehensive market entry and growth strategy tailored to the Spanish market.</li><li>Identify key opportunities for smart water metering adoption in residential, commercial, municipal, and thermal energy sectors.</li><li>Define and achieve sales, revenue, and market share goals.</li></ul><ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, municipalities, distributors, and other local partners.</li><li>Lead contract negotiations and project closures.</li><li>Establish strategic partnerships to boost market presence.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure timely delivery and installation of smart water metering systems.</li><li>Collaborate with technical teams to address customer needs and ensure regulatory compliance.</li><li>Monitor system performance and provide actionable feedback for continuous improvement.</li></ul><ul><li>Stay up to date on Spanish regulations, standards, and policies in water management and smart technologies.</li><li>Track market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.</li></ul><ul><li>Deliver regular updates on market dynamics, project milestones, and financial performance to senior leadership.</li><li>Represent the company at relevant industry events, trade fairs, and conferences in Spain.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.</li><li>At least 10 years of experience in Sales, with a proven track record in business development or management roles in the water, smart metering, utilities, or IoT sectors.</li><li>Strong knowledge of the Spanish water management ecosystem, including regulations and key decision-makers.</li><li>Fluent in Spanish and English.</li><li>Willingness to travel up to 50% across Spain.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Strong customer orientation with a relationship-building mindset.</li><li>Data-driven decision-making and analytical skills.</li><li>Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-oriented approach.</li></ul>Location: SpainJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
