We want full control over our creative output, our brand and our story. This team will be the voice, tone and visual style of Heat Geek across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, our website and beyond. Your profile Overview: This is the role where your animations make the difference between “wait, what?” and “oh, I understand.” You’ll take complex (or seemingly boring topics), and turn them into visuals that make people care. At Heat Geek, animation is how we communicate with our customers; our content lives at the intersection of education and entertainment and your motion design will be at the heart of it. You’ll own the animated layer of our video content, from theory explainers to product intros, and also work across our digital estate to ensure brand consistency across our website and online assets. Video is one of our most powerful growth channels and sits at the heart of the business. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Create motion graphics and animated explainers that will be embedded in our YouTube videos</li><li>Build branded transitions, lower-thirds, and overlays for video content</li><li>Design infographics, illustrations and visual assets for the website and campaigns</li><li>Maintain a scalable, consistent visual style across all digital platforms</li><li>Work closely with Producer and Editor to integrate animation into each project</li></ul>Outputs You’ll Produce: <ul><li>Animated diagrams and visual aids (for heat pumps, installs, theory explainers)</li><li>Brand-aligned motion assets for YouTube</li><li>Shortform animation for social (Reels, TikTok)</li><li>Visual content for Heat Geek.com and learning platforms</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience: <ul><li>Advanced in After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop</li><li>Experience creating animations for YouTube, web, and social</li><li>Strong sense of timing, typography, and brand design</li><li>Bonus: experience of editing</li></ul> Why us? Working with partners like <a href="https://www.ovoenergy.com/heat-pumps">OVO</a> helps us&nbsp; scale our proposition and finance the upfront costs of installations to bring heat pumps to homeowners at the scale required for Net Zero.&nbsp;
Our Heat Geeks deliver industry-leading heat pump performance. This raises energy efficiency by 500%, on average, compared with gas boilers. This means energy bills fall&nbsp; by more than the cost of the loans that pay for the heat pump &mdash; enabling homeowners to upgrade their homes and save money every month.
