We’re on a mission to electrify cars by building the next generation of energy storage technology! Do you want to make a major contribution to this critical part of the future energy economy?  We are looking for Building Operations Manager to join our Facilities Team.
In this role, you will:
Assist in the day-to-day management of several R&D and Manufacturing buildings located in San Jose, California.
You will source and coordinate contracts and service providers for functions such as catering, janitorial, parking/valet services, security, landscaping, and office maintenance.
You will ensure all Quantumscape office building issues receive accurate follow-up from the appropriate construction and maintenance teams.
Development and implementation of specifications, bidding documents, plans, and procedures covering property cleaning operations and project security.
Take care of emergencies and communicate these issues to Quantumscape employees and Executive staff.Handle operation budgets associated with building maintenance.
Process vendor invoices for payment.
Coordinate with construction and maintenance teams’ office renovations and refurbishments.
Plan employee office moves and update office seating plans on a monthly basis.
Assisting in maintaining liaison between tenants and building owners.
Maintain safety and maintenance of a building, conduct site’s physical conditions reviews with executive staff.
Coordinate volunteer events as requested.
Supervise building inspections, fire drills, and ensure building’s compliance with codes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in Facility, Property Management, or a related field.
Solid understanding of lease terms, the reconciliation process for Common Area Maintenance, insurance, and real estate taxes.
Proficient in understanding management agreements and contract language.
Working knowledge of computer software programs and base building systems.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including but not limited to overnight travel, on-call after hours, and weekends.
Knowledge of financial reporting.
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Experience with building systems including HVAC, Building Management, Security, Fire Alarm.
