Job Summary

We’re looking for a NetSuite Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. The Systems Engineering team is a tight-knit team of experienced engineers obsessed with efficiency. We focus on building enterprise automations and integrations regarding Netsuite for Bird while focusing on software practices that are simple and easy to understand, infrastructure that is stable and fault tolerant, and designing cutting edge processes/applications to support all aspects of the business.

As a Netsuite & Integrations developer here, you’ll be embedded into our FinApps team where you’ll work closely with Finance & Supply Chain teams to ensure our financial systems can scale with the growth of our company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be one of the technical points of contact for Netsuite
  • Design, build, and deliver optimized and scalable NetSuite solutions including customizations, scripting (2.0), integrations and support case resolutions for customization defects
  • Work with management, product managers and finance business partners to scope work and produce deliverable estimates
  • Adapt to changing priorities of the business and seek out ways to develop new skills
  • Balance multiple concurrent projects and contending priorities

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • 3+ years of Netsuite development
  • 1+ years of Integrations experience (with Celigo/Dell Boomi/Restlets)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, SOAP, REST, XML, HTML and JSON
  • Ability to write and review SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.0+) from scratch and heavy experience specifically with userevent, mapreduce, restlets, and client script types.
  • Extensive understanding of Netsuite's technical architecture from entities, transactions, fields, forms, and workflows.
  • Basic functional understanding of NetSuite modules and concepts in a OneWorld environment such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Revenue Recognition, COGS, Advanced Inventory, Fixed Assets, Electronic Payments, Multi-Book accounting and Currency Translations/Foreign Exchange is necessary
  • Expertise with Celigo Integrator.io and prior experience with building financial application integrations
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills - high attention to detail is crucial
  • General understanding of best practices and business processes in Finance and Accounting
  • Emphasis on good communication skills and working with a tight-knit team
  • Netsuite Administration or Developers certificate
