Requirements

THE ROLE

The Global Operations team is responsible for ensuring our local markets are set up for success - making sure we have Standard Operating Procedures, processes and systems in place to deliver for our customers, as we experience a 10x growth in fleet size!

This Training Manager role is a new and unique role within Zoomo, setup to tackle a critical component of the business which is ensuring our growing mechanic workforce are appropriately onboarded, trained and set up for success in a highly dynamic business environment.

You will be responsible for leading the operational execution of the first global, standardised onboarding and training curriculum for our mechanics, with an immediate focus of converting initial written workshop processes into engaging and effective training materials for our mechanic staff.


You will be working closely with, and responsible for supporting our growing Operations Teams around the world, and alongside the People and Culture, Hardware and Product teams, to ensure that Zoomo is successful in developing and building a world class mechanic workforce. You will receive hands-on support from experienced Operations and Product Managers both centrally and in-region to deliver on the role.


We are looking for individuals who are keen to be hands-on, comfortable working in an ever changing, dynamic environment, and have excellent communication and organisation skills.


Specific e-bike knowledge is not required (just an optional bonus!) however, basic mechanical and technical understanding is required. Also, experience working within high-growth, operational business will be highly advantageous for this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role will be responsible for the initial setup and then maintenance of the learning & development program for Zoomo mechanics (i.e. Zoomo Academy), focusing on the following areas:

  • Content creation: working with the relevant subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand operational processes from which to create engaging and effective instructional material. Create visual, audio and interactive learning tools
  • Content management: adapting and updating training materials on an ongoing basis, including to support the rollout of new or revised processes and systems
  • Training program management: coordinating on the implementation, and ensuring compliance and adoption of a new onboarding and L&D process across markets through regular reporting and reviews
  • Continuous improvement: Review training effectiveness and employee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in the design and delivery of content and materials



WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree, with at least 2-3 years experience in related functions such as training, learning and development, instructional design, etc.
  • Experience with design and delivery of a training curriculum, particularly via an LMS system would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Owners mindset and an ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Track record of building things from the beginning and getting things done
  • Excellent communication with the ability to engage and align internal stakeholders
  • Relevant industry (startup, bike, automotive, mobility, technology) experience advantageous
