Sustainability Intern (Marketing & Operations)

At Zoomo, we're leading the charge in enabling our vision to transition every urban mile to light electric vehicles (LEV) that are accessible to build carbon-neutral cities. To that end, we are building the world’s most convenient, affordable, and safe e-bike platform.

The Role

Championing Sustainability and our sustainability credentials is a huge, largely untapped opportunity. It is an integral part of Zoomo’s identity - but as it stands we are currently not making enough of it. We don’t truly understand just how big of an impact our business is making in building a sustainable future. And we’re not communicating and promoting our sustainable story enough either. This role comes in to change this!

Responsibilities

1. Measuring & Improving the way we do things:

• Work with UK Consumer Strategy Team on leading a project to measure the carbon footprint of our operations
• Identifying and championing potential improvement opportunities
• Project Management of improvement project

2. Instilling a sustainability mindset at Zoomo UK:

• Regularly research & report on sustainability trends
• Send out weekly sustainability newsletter to the team
• Organise internal events and panel discussions

3. Delivering sustainability-led marketing initiatives:

• Research and quantify Zoomo’s positive impact on London / the world
• Work with UK Marketing Manager to turn this into B2B consumer facing comms strategies (PR, paid ads, events, internal comms)
• Work with UK MM + Central Marketing team to execute on above strategies; produce sustainability focused assets (videos, blogs)

Requirements

• Ideally you're a Master Student with Sustainability, Management, Engineering, Marketing or Journalism background
• You need to have a passion for sustainability
• Experience in managing and driving projects independently
• Ability to analyse and curate sustainability data (qualitative + quantitative)
• Writing skills
• Self-starter mentality (can you be championing sustainability across 100+ employees in the UK?)
