The Job
The role of our UX/UI designer is to help us build out best in class solar tools with special care for each of our customers, both internal and external. You will be creating user experiences that must convey extremely complicated data driven analysis in a beautiful form factor.  
User experience must be a priority of yours. You will be guiding our users to make important decisions with complicated data, highlighting what is important to them.  You will lead the design of aesthetically pleasing and intuitive data driven web pages with an emphasis on user experience and re-use of common components for a common look and feel across our various tools.  
You will have autonomy and the support of an amazing engineering team. Cross team communication is a must, you will be creating user stories and conveying them to various teams. You get to work on a world changing solar company, we all believe very deeply in helping the planet through renewable technologies.

What You'll Do

• User Interface design with an emphasis on User Experience
• Use your data driven intuition to organize and communicate complex concepts in a relatable and understandable way
• Analyze various data sources and know how to connect them to create a powerful and impactful user experience through design, graphs and forms
• Process and conduct user experience reviews with customers to make evidence based design decisions
• Communicate clearly with engineers and project managers to convey designs and intended user experiences
• Use a standard palette and user interface components to create a unified and consistent design
• Use your knowledge of the RESTful web to make network efficient design decisions
• Work with domain experts, customers, and leadership to gain a deep understanding of the multivariate dimensionality of solar data
• Work with business leaders to understand our business model, and how we leverage technology for business impact
• Effectively work in a semi remote environment (our Seattle office is currently very limited)

Education and Experience - You have 3-5 years of experience:

• Designing intuitive user Experiences
• Utilizing complex data to convey an impactful story to users
• Organizing data visually Charting and creating meaningful graphs
• Making data driven decisions based off of self collected information like customer experience reviews and user engagement statistics

Experience with any of the following technologies is a plus, but not required:

• Full-stack development
• RESTful web services
• Asynchronous message processing
• Design Software
• JavaScript or Typescript
• React with Redux
