About this internship

The cell line generation intern will be responsible for developing new tools and established model cell lines under the direction of the CLG team. This laboratory based position requires performing molecular biology and cell biology assay on a daily basis, followed by analysis and interpretation of the data, presentation of findings to the Upstream Development Team, and suggestion of follow-up experiments. You should be creative, enthusiastic, and a self-manager.

Duties include

• Cell culture technique including transfection and selection
• Molecular biology (vector construction, PCR, qPCR)
• Immunostaining development
• Set up and execute experiments with guidance from team/project lead
• Maintains laboratory notebooks with detailed notes, experimental designs, and results 

About you 

• Final year of earning a BS in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering or closely related science or a completed BS in the above fields
• Working knowledge or hands-on experience of cell culture and molecular biology
• Competent with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and cross-functional environment
• Fosters a team environment collaborating scientifically with team members 
• Maintains laboratory notebooks with detailed experimental designs and results 

Length of internship

• 10-12 weeks
