About this internship

The Process Automation Engineering Intern will work with scientist, engineers and manufacturing operators on projects involved in day-to-day manufacturing operations and automation of a complex and novel pilot plant for cell-based meat production. 

They should be willing to learn new processes, programming languages, integrate various software solutions into a unified platform, and collaborate closely with the MSAT and data engineering teams. They should be passionate about creating logical, efficient and user-friendly solutions. You should be creative, structured, enthusiastic and a self-manager.

Duties include

  • Work with Senior Engineers to integrate various pieces of equipment and instrumentation into Rockwell PlantPAx Batch system
  • Work with end users from cross functional teams to create SCADA graphics and PI dashboards that allow end users to easily navigate to the data of interest for specific part of the process or equipment.
  • Create or update existing engineering specification documents
  • Work hands on developing several downstream processing technologies utilized for separation and drying of biomass

About you 

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s (junior or senior) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness with a bias for action!
  • You have excellent communication, organizational, attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Length of internship

  • 10-12 weeks
