Cell Process Improvement - Associate Mechanical Engineer

As a member of the Cell Process Improvement team, you will work with multi-functional teams -- cell assembly and production processes meet custom hardware design -- to actually put this technology on the road. We do what it takes to make Quantumscape's fundamental technological breakthroughs into a commercial cell.
Responsibilities:
Specify cell assembly tool requirements to hardware team and external vendors.
Develop tools and processes to improve manufacturing throughput while maintaining cell performance.
Design and execute experiments to evaluate new tools/processes and bring them to our production line.
Communicate results to the broader team.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient with 3D CAD software (Inventor, Solidworks, or similar) for the design of assemblies.
Strong understanding of design for manufacturability.
Experience designing complex mechanical or mechatronic assemblies.
You like solving puzzles and respond to challenges with solutions.
You learn and adapt quickly.
You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You love working closely with a team in a fast-paced and energizing environment.
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
