This individual will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of power electronics, wire management, and electrical interconnect systems that seamlessly integrate with Nextracker’s solar tracker platforms.The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of electrical systems and product development, strong cross-functional leadership, and a data-driven approach to product decisions. This role is both strategic and hands-on, bridging engineering, manufacturing, and customer success functions.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Own the roadmap and lifecycle for eBOS products such as DC string combiners, AC/DC disconnects, wire management assemblies, trunk bus assemblies, and other power collection platforms.</li><li>Define product requirements based on market analysis, customer needs, and field feedback.</li><li>Drive end-to-end product development in collaboration with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes (NEC, UL, IEEE) and regional standards.</li><li>Serve as the technical voice for eBOS products, supporting customer discussions, field escalations, and technical enablement for sales teams.</li><li>Assess new technologies and design approaches to improve product reliability, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.</li><li>Translate field performance data into actionable insights to iterate and improve product designs.</li><li>Partner with internal stakeholders across tracker, power electronics, and digital solutions teams to deliver cohesive system offerings.</li><li>Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on go-to-market strategies, value proposition articulation, and technical collateral.</li><li>Support supplier qualification and manufacturing transitions as needed to scale production.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>A BS or MS Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering </li><li>8+ years of experience with PV system design and applications.</li><li>Good understanding of physics, component selection of semiconductor devices, magnetics, cable/bus bar and protection devices.</li><li>Knowledge of UL &amp; NEC compliance requirements </li><li>Willingness to travel (&lt;10% of time) to China, Europe, and India.</li><li>Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license will be highly considered</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with PV+Storage applications</li><li>Experience resolving issues from the field, performing root cause analysis, and designing mitigations</li><li>Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese.</li></ul><div>Nextracker offers a comprehensive benefits package.
