The ideal candidate brings both deep technical expertise and a passion for team leadership, mentoring, and problem solving.</span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:</h3><ul><li>Lead the design, development, and verification of airborne electrical and electronic systems, including safety-critical hardware including flight control systems, motor drives, and battery management hardware.</li><li>Provide technical leadership across the full product lifecycle: requirements definition, schematic design, PCB layout oversight, testing, and certification.</li><li>Serve as technical mentor to junior engineers, promoting skill development in areas including analog/digital circuit design, EMI/EMC mitigation, safety analysis, and aerospace compliance.</li><li>Lead and facilitate design reviews, FMEAs, and cross-functional engineering meetings.</li><li>Collaborate with systems, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration and performance in complex airborne environments.</li><li>Work with program managers and stakeholders to define project scope, schedule, and risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Support root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues in development and production phases.</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/similar field, or equivalent work/project experience.</li><li>8+ years of experience in aerospace or aviation electronics development, with a focus on safety-critical hardware.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in DO-254 development processes for DAL A systems containing simple or complex COTS hardware. </li><li>Experience in the development of embedded real time systems including hardware and software integration.</li><li>Understanding of fault-tolerant design and redundancy in aerospace systems.</li><li>Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and design analysis  including component stress, tolerance, timing, stability, and power.</li><li>Strong leadership and mentoring experience—ability to guide and  inspire a team of engineers.</li><li>Understanding of best practices for designing in compliance with  EMC/EMI and environmental compliance testing per DO-160.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills for generating test reports and design documentation</li><li>Comfortable defining and executing one's own objectives.</li></ul><h3>Above and Beyond Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Experience with model-based systems engineering or formal requirements tools.</li><li>Prior experience working with certification authorities (FAA, EASA, DERs).</li><li>In-depth experience with DC-DC converter topologies and power electronics including buck, boost, buck-boost, push-pull, flyback, etc. Design of transformer and inductor design for small switching supplies including core selection.</li><li>Familiarity with two-level inverters and/or motor control theory.</li><li>Mechanical stackup/arrangement of multi-level boards and thermal management.</li><li>Certified designs for Part 23 or Part 25 aircraft which may include: DO-160/Mil-Std-704F, ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254, IPC-2221A/B, IEC 60664-1.
