Join our Liquid &amp; Powder Technologies Team in México and support us as a Site Manager.Responsibilities / TasksTHE POSITIONThe site manager is responsible for coordination of the plant commissioning on time, with acceptable quality and safety standards, under the cost assigned to the project.The key priorities for the role:<ul><li>Administer and supervision on external sites.</li><li>Takeover of part assemblies in large-scale projects.</li><li>Work breakdown of site activities under supervisors’ area of responsibility</li></ul>The tasks and responsibilities for the role include:<ul><li>Support Project Engineering in full scale mechanical project plan development</li><li>Plan daily assembly activities, regarding equipment and labor.</li><li>Follow up project activities progress with the team and report project time performance.</li><li>Handling of 2D and 3D design software</li><li>Development and review of 3D designs: Piping, skids, vessels... that must be installed according to the flow diagrams and installation and process conditions.</li><li>Work and review with design subcontractors</li><li>Ensure the correct installation of components and equipment.</li><li>Management of mechanical contractor in assembly. Examination and control of the planned hours and guidance of the construction progress announcement.</li><li>Management of deliveries and shipments of materials, equipment, and storage during the permanence in the project</li><li>To identify and report deviations and risks in project execution.</li><li>Ensure compliance and development of the HSEQ requirements of GEA and the client.</li><li>Head of assembly quality</li><li>Customer relationship and management during mechanical supervision or assembly</li><li>Coordination of the assembly with the project manager and customer.</li><li>Estimate and plan assembly hours.</li><li>Supervision of the safety status of the tools on site within responsible team.</li><li>Support to the commissioning.</li><li>Responsible person for the documentation on site (small projects):<ul><li>Reporting on site activities</li><li>Progress reports</li><li>HSE reports</li><li>Budget and forecasting reports.</li></ul></li><li>Provide mechanical support to the components and equipment installed during the installation phase of the project and if applicable in commissioning.</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive project management documentation.</li></ul>Your Profile / QualificationsOverviewBe part of the projects during the different phases of mechanical engineering, (planning, design, execution, commissioning and closing) in order to review, validate, adjust or propose ideas or solutions for the effective continuity of these or their improvements. Travel will be required, involving periods on sites throughout year (up to 70% travelling time expected).Experience &amp; CompetenciesExperience in leading a regional site, as proven by:<ul><li>Strong sense of achievement; able to drive projects forward, expects good standards of work, tenacious, and able to overcome barriers/ solve problems.</li><li>Knowledge of local environment, culture and rules.</li><li>A good knowledge of weld quality procedures is needed.</li><li>Team building skills, communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrate organization, time management and prioritization of work.</li><li>Hygienic design know-how.</li><li>Mechanical engineering know-how. Able to read and understand mechanical and installation drawings.</li><li>Basic electrical engineering know-how. Able to identify Electrical risks.</li><li>Knowledge of standard equipment to be installed. How to install it and how it should be running. Equipment tests to be done before commissioning. Machinery to be used during installation.</li><li>Knowledge of standard warehouse procedures in order to secure and control materials and equipment.</li><li>Knowledge of how to handle heavy equipment.</li><li>High degree of knowledge of all aspects of food, beverage, chemical and dairy installation, duties and policies.</li><li>Pro-active good at planning ahead as the project progresses, checking back to plans/programmers regularly.</li><li>Demonstrate strong planning skills for both resources and materials.</li><li>Good eye for detail, e.g. for seeing small points in drawings, checking work quality.</li></ul><ul><li>Degree in Mechanical, Design, Electromechanical or Industrial Engineering</li><li>(Valuable) Specific training in related technical technologies / processes</li><li>(Valuable) Training in Project Management</li></ul><ul><li>5+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly projects, control and reporting on site.</li><li>3+ performing the position of site manager.</li><li>High degree of knowledge of all aspects of food, beverage, chemical and dairy installation, duties and policies.</li><li>(Valuable) Experience in the Food &amp; Beverage industry</li><li>Should be a range of minimum 2 areas, e.g. dairy and beverage.</li><li>Full working proficiency in Spanish and good knowledge in English.</li></ul>Interpersonal Skills<ul><li>People management skills, to be able to instruct staff, deal with difficult staffing situations and maintain a productive, joyful but disciplined working environment (ability to explain and teach various skills to both skilled and unskilled workers).</li></ul><ul><li>Strong organizational skills, people skills and attention to detail.</li></ul>Other qualification<ul><li>Experience in using Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel), MS Project mandatory.</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD viewers would be preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge in stainless steel welding procedures</li></ul><ul><li>Planning &amp; Organization</li></ul>Did we spark your interest?
