In this crucial role, you will collaborate closely with software development, hardware development, and field support teams. We are looking for a highly effective individual, quick learner, and adaptable person with a proven track record in software development for standalone field devices. It is essential that you possess a strong ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical solutions.</p><p>Your responsibilities will include proposing and implementing effective control solutions within systems, processes, or reporting to establish an efficient control environment. As an IoT Software Engineer, you will develop software for IoT gateway devices, working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current software, and propose effective solutions. You will lead the code implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices and optimizing performance throughout the project.</p><p>The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills, expertise in at least one high level programing language (e.g., Python, Javascript, Go), and expertise in Linux operating system. This role requires a deep understanding of data pipelines and the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems effectively. The engineer should be comfortable working in agile environments, demonstrate strong debugging skills, and have experience using Jira for project tracking and management.</p><p></p><h2>Key Job Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain software that interfaces with edge devices and cloud endpoints through a variety of network protocols including IoT protocols.</li><li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Go, JavaScript, and C for Linux.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and products.</li><li>Debug and troubleshoot complex software and hardware interactions to identify and resolve issues efficiently.</li><li>Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile practices within the team.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li><b>Education:</b> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.</li><li><b>Experience</b>: 5+ years of experience in software development using Agile methodologies. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for both software and hardware-related issues.</li><li><b>Programming Skills:</b> Proficiency in at least one high level language like Python, JavaScript, Go. Proficiency in SQL query language.</li><li><b>Technical Knowledge:</b> Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures and streaming analytics. Experience with REST API, MQTT, authentication/authorization, encryption, TLS, Git, debug tools, networking, Linux, Docker, shell scripts, and SSH. Basic understanding of IoT systems.
