In the context of a Renewable Energy IPP, the role is essential for supporting project finance structures, maintaining compliance with loan covenants, and ensuring the availability of funds across operational and development-stage projects. Duties and responsibilities  Cash &amp; Liquidity Management <ul><li>Monitor daily cash positions and forecasts across project SPVs and the group.</li><li>Manage intra-group funding flows and working capital.</li><li>Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational, CAPEX, and debt obligations.</li></ul> Banking &amp; Treasury Operations <ul><li>Maintain and enhance banking relationships.</li><li>Oversee opening, management, and control of multiple project bank accounts.</li><li>Implement and manage online banking platforms and authorisation protocols.</li><li>Negotiate and manage working capital facilities and revolving credit facilities to support the growth of the group</li></ul> Debt &amp; Investment Management <ul><li>Oversee debt drawdowns for project financing and ensure compliance with financial agreements.</li><li>Monitor covenant compliance and manage lender reporting schedules.</li><li>Assist in managing surplus funds in accordance with investment policies.</li><li>Manage a large corporate finance facility with associated bespoke covenants and compliance reporting</li><li>Manage applications for increases in accessible facilities and optimising capital structure of the group</li></ul> Risk Management &amp; Compliance <ul><li>Identify and mitigate foreign exchange, interest rate, and counterparty risks.</li><li>Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g. SARB reporting).</li><li>Collaborate with legal and project finance teams on treasury clauses in loan agreements and PPAs.</li></ul> Insurance <ul><li>Managing the group-wide insurance portfolio, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and insurance brokers.</li><li>Conducting the annual renewal process.</li><li>Identify new insurable risks within the Business and make recommendations for effective management of the risks.</li><li>Administration of insurance claims, from notification process to claims completion and pay-out.</li><li>Resolve insurance queries from departments and third parties.</li><li>Handling any insurance matters relating to the business of the organisation as required.</li></ul> Reporting &amp; Systems <ul><li>Prepare monthly treasury reports, including cash flow forecasting, loan schedules, and covenant dashboards.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all treasury transactions.</li><li>Support audits and due diligence processes for new projects or refinancing.</li></ul> Strategic &amp; Cross-functional Support <ul><li>Partner with Asset Management, Accounting, and Legal teams during project development and financing.</li><li>Provide strategic input on treasury implications of new markets, joint ventures, and project bids.</li></ul> Required skills and education background <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.</li><li>Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA, CA(SA)) is advantageous.</li><li>6–10 years of treasury experience, ideally within project finance, energy, or infrastructure sectors.</li><li>Experience with multi-entity treasury operations and FX management in a multinational or regional context.</li><li>Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.</li><li>Excellent understanding of project finance structures and debt instruments.</li><li>High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cash flows across entities.</li><li>Proficiency in treasury and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Kyriba, or similar).</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.</li></ul> Desirable attributes The ideal candidate would have a passion for the Renewable Energy sector and personality traits would include a high level of diligence, determination, resilience, and agility. Mulilo is an employer of choice and is offering an extremely competitive total remuneration package for this position. Additional Information  Able to work overtime according to operational needs. The position is based at the offices of the company, but travel may be required occasionally.</div></div>
