As a Manager on the Business Development team you will support the entire sales process for Aspiration’s high-growth enterprise sustainability business -- from conducting research on prospects’ sustainability targets and initiatives, developing compelling pitches, selling and closing deals, to managing partners. Your expertise in sustainability and specifically in selling and delivering large-scale nature-based solutions to enterprises will have a direct and massive impact on the planet, on our partners’ businesses, and on Aspiration’s business. 

What You'll Do

  • Research industry-specific trends and gather intelligence on prospective partners’ climate targets and sustainability initiatives to inform pitches.
  • Identify decision makers through networks and tools to enable sales efforts. 
  • Support the entire sales process -- develop partner value exchange models, build pitch materials, negotiate deals, and deliver solutions post-contracting. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sustainability, Legal, Finance and other teams internally and externally.
  • Track and report out on planet and business impact of partnerships. 

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of business development, sales and partner management experience, primarily in the sustainability/carbon markets space. 
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and influencing skills. 
  • Client relationships from prior business development roles.  
  • Positivity, curiosity, flexibility and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working at and/or with high growth startups.
