And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Performance Analyst£40,000 - £45,000 per annumHybrid working - can be located within one hour of any UK Hitachi Rail depotsPermanentRole OverviewYou will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of the performance of the AT300 fleet across a number of train operators and stakeholders. Working within an interdisciplinary team to collate large data sets, identify trends, draw conclusions and make recommendations to drive performance improvement in line with contractual obligations. This role will be suited to a data scientist, statistician or similar with a deeply curious mind and the ability to create and develop evidence-based stories and visualisations. This is a great opportunity to bring your best practise knowledge and experience to the railway sector. Rail industry background would be highly beneficial.Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Ability to extract, cleanse, manipulate, maintain and validate large data sets using the latest software, tools and methodologies.</li><li>Deploy latest methods in analytical skills to identify trends, interpret data and present findings using powerbi and/or similar user interfaces.</li><li>Work closely alongside other functions in Hitachi to building stories/visualisations, justifications and collate evidence using the wide variety of data sets available.</li><li>Identify and manage key performance indicators.</li><li>Monitoring the operational performance of the AT300 fleet in line with contractual obligations.</li><li>Management of data and information within the Hitachi fleet management systems/CMMS.</li><li>Maximise the existing on-train data/remote data to support performance improvement and reliability growth.</li><li>Act as initial point of contact with the customer for train performance and provide support to AT300 fleets whilst in service.</li><li>Provide data, evidence and support to the Fleet Performance Improvement Plans.</li><li>Report progress, prepare reports and give verbal briefs and presentations as required.</li><li>Production of the period performance report for the customer and attendance at the performance review meetings.</li></ul>Essential Competences<ul><li>Highly skilled PowerBI developer.</li><li>Experienced in computing programming languages (such as but not limited to R, C, Python, SQL, DAX).</li><li>Analytical translator with proven ability to create compelling visualisations and presentations using large data sets to inform the Business.</li><li>Advanced analytical and statistical modelling skills.</li><li>Excellence in problem solving.</li></ul>Behavioural<ul><li>A dynamic and adaptable approach, capable of working in fast-paced challenging environments.</li><li>Deeply curious and inquisitive individual with research skills.</li><li>Assertive, self-reliant and driven to take responsibility for own delivery.</li><li>Adept problem solver, solution focused with a ‘can do’ attitude.</li><li>Attention to detail but big picture approach.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills: must have ability to deliver confident and persuasive briefs.</li><li>Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.  </li></ul>#LI-AS1#LI-AH1Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
