We are looking for a professional Senior Quality Internal Auditor who will lead and partner with organizations on developing Quality Management Systems (QMS) internal audit programs. This candidate will have practical experience in aviation, defense or space regulated industries working in a lead auditor role.
You will be responsible for leading the Wisk QMS internal audit program including defining scope, schedules and resources needed to execute the audit program. You will also be responsible for partnering with design, certification, manufacturing and supply chain teams to integrate audit best practices. This position will require a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills which promote continuous improvement culture. Ideal candidates will have the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment working in a leadership advisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal audits as Lead Auditor using established audit scope & objectives.
  • Plan and execute internal audits to assess the FAA / AS9100 requirements
  • Reviewing audit finding responses for implementation and effectiveness.
  • Reporting monthly internal audit finding and completion progress.
  • Participating in Quality & Regulatory reviews; 
  • Supporting external third party audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years AS9100 or ISO9001 experience in aviation, defense or space industries.
  • Successful completion of a Lead Auditor Course from a reputable organization.
  • Managing audit programs in a design and manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of FAA PART 21.
  • Strong CAPA knowledge and experience.
  • Able to interact with varying levels of the organization.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.

Desired

  • Master’s engineering, sciences, manufacturing and/or equivalent.
  • Professional certification (ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer).
  • FAA Certification Experience (Type Certificate).
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and lead cross functional teams.
  • Play a key role in supporting external audits from regulatory agencies and third party registrar including preparing all sites for external audits.
