This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.</p></div><h2><strong>What we do: </strong></h2><p>This role is pivotal for New Product Development (NPD) ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of Supernal products and processes. and will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, safety, supply chain, manufacturing, legal, and policy.</p><p>This role also develops and leads the implementation of Supernal’s supplier development &amp; quality roadmap. This will include supplier/partner identification and selection, development and implementation of supply chain plans, manufacturing strategy support, and supplier relationship management. This role will lead/support projects across the entire lifecycle: supplier identification, supplier qualification, new product introduction, rate increase, and mass production to meet quality, total cost, timely delivery, and inventory goals.</p><h2><strong>What you can do:</strong></h2><ul><li>Lead and manage the quality team (supplier quality, quality assurance and inspectors) to establish and implement strategies and day-to-day tactics:<ul><li>Develop and implement a rigorous quality strategy for NPD projects, meeting or exceeding industry standard and regulatory requirements using a phased planning process with specific results that are established, supervised, and tracked to closure, while highlighting and mitigating risks as they are identified</li><li>Develop and improve supplier capabilities, ensuring they meet or exceed Supernal’s standards for quality, schedule adherence, and project risk mitigation, thereby supporting Supernal’s short and long-term success</li><li>Develop and define a Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Management framework and processes that align with Supernal's overall Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with FAA 14 Code of Federal Regulation Part 21.137 and AS9100.<ul><li>Performance metrics, internally and externally</li><li>Supplier control, nonconformance management, corrective action management, inspection and test, equipment control, training programs, audit support, continuous improvement, etc.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Implement and champion the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) effort internally and externally (suppliers) and ensure timely production qualifications using the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) methodology for series production</li><li>Leadership of a cross functional team and ability to influence decision making at all levels of the business</li><li>Build the necessary team and implement technologies/software systems to execute quality processes</li><li>Represent quality in change control process for design reviews, drawing release and change approvals</li><li>Collaborate with design &amp; manufacturing engineering team to ensure quality is built into the design and manufacturing processes</li><li>Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement team to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive supplier performance metrics</li><li>Serve as a conduit/liaison between Supernal's technical team and suppliers to facilitate design-for-manufacturing reviews</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><h2><strong>What you can contribute:</strong></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Engineering, Supply Chain or related field required; Master’s degree preferred</li><li>A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the field of manufacturing (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)</li><li>Experience working collaboratively across all functions of the business</li><li>Certification in Quality Management (ASQ), Program Management, and/or Lean/6 Sigma is valued</li><li>Proficient in Supplier Quality Management Systems (SQMS) in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Proficient in AS9100 and/or IATF 16949/ISO9001</li><li>Ability to understand sophisticated regulations/procedures</li><li>Ability to manage and effectively prioritize multiple workstreams simultaneously</li><li>Requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities in an ambiguous environment to understand and facilitate complex supply chain decision making over the strategic time window</li><li>Good understanding of product development cycle, new product launch and production scale</li><li>Proficiency with common quality management technologies and methods</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints</li><li>Self-motivated and forward-thinking</li><li>Customer service orientated</li><li>Proficiency with MS Office Suite</li></ul><h2><strong>You may also be able to contribute:</strong></h2><p></p><ul><li>Previous supervisory experience, a minimum of five (5) years preferred</li><li>Fundamental understanding of e2e contracting in several industries preferred</li><li>Experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive industries preferred</li></ul><p></p><div><div><div><p>Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
